Barbara Walters 10 Most Fascinating People

The list of people who make up Barbara Walters 10 Most Fascinating People of 2008 is slowly making it out there. So far, the list includes Michael Phelps (hot), Tina Fey (yeah) , Will Smith (huh?), Tom Cruise (huh?), Miley Cyrus (whatever), and Rush Limbaugh (huh?). There's also some lists that include Frank Langella (from Broadway). It kind of makes sense Walters will profile an interesting person... that may not be a mass media name.

That said, there are four names left to list. Who will they be? An obvious choice is Barack Obama. But how about these names:
SARAH PALIN - Yeah she lost. But this little gov charmed the Republican base and had America talking for month. In fact, we're still talking.
MICHELLE OBAMA - While she played a low-key role in the start of the campaign, she made a big difference later.
RACHEL MADDOW - Sure she's on MSNBC. But Babs can't ignore that this woman has helped build MSNBC's most successful prime time line-up ever. So many people before here couldn't last in an hour at 9 against Larry King and Hannity and Colmes. I don't like her show but she is certainly the most engaging cable news person/topic of the year.
ELISABETH HASSELBECK - Babs may not agree with her sitting on "The View'. But, she can't refute that Bush-flag-waving Hasselbeck became the most controversial figure on her own show this year.
ANGELINA JOLIE - Always a popular choice... whether she did anything or not.
HEIDI NONTAG & SPENCER PRATTT - I hate to admit this.\
THE PREGNANT MAN - She already has the interview!

WHO WAS PICKED LAST YEAR? - J.K. Rowling
