Weekend Today Ratings - Who Wins? Jenna Wolfe or Amy Robach

So, there's a lot of talk on this blog about "Weekend Today" with Lester Holt and Amy Robach on Saturday... then Holt and Jenna Wolfe on Sunday. Everyone turns to ratings first to point out success or failure. In the most recent ratings, May sweeps, the Saturday and Sunday shows had about the same number of total viewers -- 160,000 difference.
Saturday:• Total viewers:NBC — 3,770,000 / ABC — 2,580,000 / CBS — 1,570,000
Sunday:• Total viewers:CBS — 4,450,000 / NBC — 3,610,000 / ABC — 2,320,000

That's not bad considering the shows have very different feels with two very different anchors. But again, in fairness, the ratings are about the same, And for those of you who love to say it's all about the key demos. That too was about the same.
Saturday • A25-54:NBC — 1,510,000 / ABC — 1,160,000 / CBS — 660,000
Sunday:• A25-54:CBS — 1,710,000 / NBC — 1,480,000 / ABC — 960,000

So, there you have it. At least from an overall viewership standpoint, there's not much difference.

I'll be the first to admit that The MediaBlog is very much pro-Robach in this conflict.

That being said, I think there is one important distinction to be drawn between the Saturday ratings and those on Sunday. On Saturday, in most places, Weekend Today is the lead-in for cartoons. On Sunday it is the lead-in for Meet the Press.

The fact that Saturday Today still beats Sunday Today in spite of this fact is evidence of of the overwhelming superiority of Amy Robach and the disaster that is Jenna Wolfe.

Okay, maybe it's not. Still, I do think that Sunday has some natural advantages and the fact that Saturday still wins says good things about the Holt-Robach chemistry and negative ones about Holt-Wolfe.

Jenna Wolfe is not an asset to the NBC news team. Jenna Wolfe's reporting, as well as her comments, offer no pertinent or stimulating analysis. She appears to be too immature and her thinking is excessively concrete, holding the viewer back. She does appear to grasp a major overview of what she is covering,(unless sports related much less what is going on in the world.I have begun to avoid the Sunday morning Today Show-but watch it every other day.The segment on the Empire State Building was a total wash.

Will NBC just admit they made a mistake with Jenna and stop ramming her down our throats. She is hard to look (upside down smile) and not a very nice person on thhe air.

Amy on the other hand is a delight. Beside being good looking she has an incredible disposition.
I will not watch the Today show on Sunday b/c of Jenna

Jenna - does she know about makeup,
wardrobe, hair salon? Someone should be dressing her and help her with makeup. Doesn't look as if she uses makeup. She needs help to make a nice appearance - Just look at Robin on CNN and that is good makeup, wardrobe, and hair. Jenna looks as if she crawled out of bed and went to work. No hair style and she could have lovely hair with the proper hair cut.
